KLIA Transit Concession Fares with MyKad

We’re going cashless!

With the use of MyKad, we aim to provide a seamless user experience in line with the national Go Cashless initiative. No need to queue at the counter and show proof every time you buy your ticket in the future.

  • Use MyKad directly at the gate to enjoy concession fares from 1 May 2021
  • Concession fares will not be offered through the ticket counter from 1 May 2021*
  • Online registration begins 1 April 2021

3 simple steps to get started

Who is eligible for the concession fares?

Effective 1 May 2021, those who fall under the following categories are eligible for the concession fares:

Category A (Malaysians only): Senior citizens aged 60 and above, registered disabled persons, secondary school students aged 16 and above, and students in higher learning institutes

Category B: Malaysian and non-Malaysian* airline crew and airport staff, licensed tourist guides

Please check the document requirements to confirm your eligibility before registering.

* Non-Malaysians are eligible to purchase only the Airline Crew and Airport Staff concession fares.

  • Online registration for non-Malaysians is only open from 1 May 2021, however, you can register in person at our registration booth at any of these KLIA Transit stations from 1 April 2021: KL Sentral, Bandar Tasik Selatan, Putrajaya & Cyberjaya, Salak Tinggi and KLIA.
  • Please note that you will be issued a normal ticket each time you purchase at the counter. You are required to show your passport or a photocopy of it to the counter staff for verification each time you make a purchase.

  1. Who is eligible for the concession fares?

  1. Can I use my existing Touch ‘n Go card to enjoy the concession fare?

No, only MyKad with Touch ‘n Go function can be used.

  1. Is it compulsory for me to register to get the concession fare?

Yes, those eligible for the concession fare must register online to enjoy the discount.

  1. How do I get the concession fares if I am not a MyKad holder?

Non-Malaysians are eligible to purchase only the Airline Crew and Airport Staff concession fares. The online registration process (starting 1 May 2021) is the same. However, you will be issued a normal ticket each time you purchase. Please show your passport or a photocopy of it to the counter staff for verification each time you make a purchase.

  1. What if I have not registered by 1 May 2021?

You can still register online beyond this date but do note that you cannot enjoy the concession fares until you have registered and activated your MyKad.

  1. Is there any validity period after registration?

There are two separate validity periods. One is the validity of your submitted documents, and the other is the validity of your MyKad activation. Please see the table below for details.

  1. What do I do when the validity has expired?

For documents: Simply follow the three steps again i.e. register online, get approval and activate your MyKad at the counter.

For MyKad activation: Just go to the counter to reactivate your MyKad.

  1. What is the minimum amount required in MyKad to travel?

The minimum amount required to travel is RM20.
