Following the Government’s implementation of the Movement Control Order to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19, all travel to/from Malaysia has been restricted. As an airport transfer provider, we need to balance the needs of our passengers with running a cost-efficient operation during this challenging period. In light of these challenges, we unfortunately have to make changes to our train service schedule.
Service Schedule Revision
From Friday 20th March to Tuesday 31st March 2020, KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit will run as a combined service at 30-minute intervals from 4:30am to 1:00am every day.
The journey time between KL Sentral and KLIA will be 35 minutes (KLIA2: 39 min).
At KL Sentral Station, all departures will be from KLIA Ekspres Departure platform.
We would like to reassure our passengers that we will continue to practise a strict regimen of cleaning in order to meet and exceed the highest standards of safety and hygiene. The safety and good health of our passengers and staff is our highest priority.
Protecting the health and safety of our passengers and staff
During this period of heightened precautions, we are tripling the frequency of cleaning of high contact areas at stations. We disinfect all high contact areas on the train and perform steam cleaning of train seats during nightly deep cleaning. Besides that, stronger disinfectants are being used by our cleaners. Hand sanitiser is provided at our Ticket Counters. We have advised our staff to practice common-sense measures to limit unnecessary exposure. We are doing everything possible to assure the public that taking public transportation is safe.
We regret any impact these changes may have on your travel plans. We are working closely with the authorities and will operate our services accordingly. Our precautionary measures are also guided by the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
